I spent most of the day at the national air and space museum, combatting oblivious people and crazy school age children (of all kinds).
After that, I wasn't sure I wanted to brave another huge museum today. I went to the Hirschhorn museum for modern art instead.
This museum is awesome, if you get past the crazy art (and a bonus if you love modern art, which I don't. Usually.) there is a room at the tomo that looks out over the mall. You can see the NHS, Archives, and the NAG.
Calm and quiet must be a thing here, because while sitting on the comfy couches in the aforementioned room, an old man was snoring and a docent came in and softly asked the rest of us if we were being disturbed by it. I actually hadn't even realized anyone was snoring until that moment.
